Tours are available at our facilities, or you may request a classroom visit from a representative to discuss your desired topic.

Education Outreach Program
Public Outreach/Education is the single most important tool when it comes protecting our watersheds and making sure our valuable resources are available for future generations. The Environmental Affairs Division is committed to providing education to our youth about our water systems, stormwater management, sanitation management and the importance of conservation and recycling. We provide classroom presentations for elementary, junior high, and high school on the following topics:
- Water treatment and distribution
- Wastewater reclamation and collection
- Stormwater pollution prevention
- Solid waste collection and landfill management
- Recycling and other resource protection practices

The Public Works Department offers quarterly education seminars hosted by our subject matter experts to provide information about our services and operations. Check out our CALENDAR or follow us on FACEBOOK for details.
Tours of the Billings Regional Landfill are available. To schedule a tour, please fill out the tour request form.
Please consider the following when scheduling a tour:
- Tours limited to third grade and above.
- One adult chaperon per 10 students.
- Minimum advance notice of one week prior to tour date is required.
- The number and names of all the participants must be completed prior to the tour.
- Identify if special accommodations are needed.
